In an encore trip to Belize, Rev. Andrea and a mighty team of six ministered for the Annual Women's Revival at Trinity Assembly of God, with Pastor Ruth Pipersburgh.
Over 200 women gathered each day, to the familiar community haven, for a workshop on a wide array of topics, followed by a worship service each evening. The topics ranged from entrepreneurship, taught by Cynthia White-Henderson, to A Taste of Happiness, by Opal A. McFarlane. Elder Kim Jenkins admonished the saints to protect the children and shared how to overcome the trauma surrounding sexual assault. On the final evening, First Lady Pamela Zimmerman gave the women tips on maintaining a healthy and happy marriage.
With each mid-day workshop, the team was able to ensure that the natural needs of the house were met, setting the platform for a spiritual encounter to take place. Trinity Assembly's Praise and Worship team & Dance Team ministered every evening, setting the atmosphere for God to visit His people. With the theme for the week being, "It's Time to Remove Your Stitches," Rev. Andrea ministered a powerful word each night encouraging the attendees that,
Weaping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. (Psalm 30:5)
Joy came while the Gospel was spread, hearts were filled, and laughs were shared, but the team made sure to take the time to serve. In the weeks leading up to the trip, Overseer Aurelia Jemmott led the charge of collecting donations and a variety of toiletry items; they were able to prepare 150 care packages for the ladies of Belize!
While serving together, the team felt that this would not be the last time they convened together to share the Gospel. It was during this trip that Talisha Miller, Opal A. McFarlane, and a few of the ladies began to not only plan for the next Women's Conference in St. Etienne, France, but for the birthing of Andrea J. Heyward Ministries, Incorporated. On September 6, 2019, we will host the official Ministry launch, while celebrating the 55th birthday of Rev. Andrea and we hope to see you there! With many souls to be saved, lives to be impacted, and needs to be met, we ask that you would pray for us as we go forward and support us along the way.
God is doing a great work!
